The Uttarakhand government has decided to postpone the Kanwar Yatra starting from July 25 due to the Corona epidemic. The Chief Minister directed the Secretary Home and Director General of Police to take appropriate action. He said that coordinating with the officials of neighboring states should be requested for effective action so that they can be successful in stopping the global epidemic.
After the high level meeting of police and administration by the Chief Minister, Uttarakhand Police is seen in active mode. The police has started a tight-knit arrangement on the state borders. Instructions have been given to keep a special watch on the borders. If any Kanwariya comes to Uttarakhand, then instructions have also been given to take strict action towards the police.
All vehicles coming to Uttarakhand are being checked
Apart from this, all vehicles coming to Uttarakhand are being checked. The police is asking all the tourists coming to the state the reason for their arrival. Obviously, after the relaxation given by the government, a large number of travelers are turning towards Uttarakhand. It is mandatory for tourists to bring negative certificate of RTPCR report. If there is no negative certificate or it is positive, then the police is not allowing it to enter the state border. Along with this, it is also necessary to show the proof of the hotel in which the tourists have been booked.
