Chandauli: In Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli district, police in 36 hours freed a doctor from the clutches of kidnappers in a film style and also recovered Rs 40 lakh as ransom. The IG of Varanasi range has given information about the whole matter by holding a press conference. Dr. Amreshwar Hai was kidnapped by car-borne miscreants at 7 pm on Monday. The miscreants had demanded Rs 70 lakh as ransom from the family of the doctor. To save his son, the father hastily arranged 40 lakh 50 thousand rupees and gave it to the kidnappers.
From here the action of Chandauli Police started in film style. Because the father of the doctor had gone to pay the ransom money without informing the police. Then the police started chasing them. The police suspected that the kidnappers would definitely run here and there after taking such a huge amount.
In the early hours of today, two vicious miscreants were running away from the car near Bilari Deh bypass of Alinagar police station with money. Then the police surrounded them. Seeing themselves surrounded, the miscreants started firing on the police. In retaliation, the police also opened fire in which one miscreant got shot. The injured miscreant has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. At the same time, on the spot of a miscreant, the doctor was saved safely and cash money was also recovered. The police has been successful in catching four vicious criminals in the case. At present, the police is investigating all the points thoroughly.
