Patna: Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is very sensitive about increasing the green cover of the state. As a result of this, since coming to power, he is constantly paying attention to plantation. Actually, due to the separation of Bihar from Bihar, the green cover of Bihar was reduced considerably. In such a situation, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar started the Hariyali Mission in the state, under which a plantation campaign was carried out across the state.

In this regard, the Chief Minister himself gave information by tweeting on Tuesday. He tweeted, “Under the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali Abhiyan, 11-point programs are being run and people are being made aware to conserve the environment. To keep the future safe, it is necessary to protect the environment.”

Protecting the environment is the responsibility of all of us

Appealing to the people, the Chief Minister said, “To protect the coming generations, we all have a basic responsibility to protect the environment. Between water and greenery, there is life, between water and greenery, there is life only. If we all walk together.” So the environmental crisis will come down.”

Let us inform that earlier on Monday, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had given the progress report of the Hariyali Mission being run in the state for the last eight years. He tweeted from his official Twitter handle on Monday and said, “After bifurcation from Jharkhand, the green cover of Bihar was reduced to 9 percent. In 2012, Hariyali Mission was started in Bihar and a target of 24 crore tree plantation was set, of which 22 crore More tree plantation was done.”
