Former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi’s area became APHC tabela, people going 18 km away when ill

Gaya: APHC built in Kadirpur village of Biraj Panchayat of Imamganj block, about 80 km from the district headquarters, has become a tabela today. People have to travel 18 kms even for a minor illness. Jitan Ram Manjhi, former Chief Minister of Bihar and National President of ‘Hum’ party, is an MLA from Imamganj seat where the situation can be seen from the picture.

Ranjay Yadav, a resident of this village, told that earlier when the building was fine, sometimes ANMs were visible. The building got damaged four years ago, after which no one comes here. Even if an ANM comes in a month, she sits in the houses of the villagers and goes away after doing her work. Jagdev Prasad Yadav of the village said that local people have started tying the animals after seeing the vacant building. Here one has to go to the PHC 18 km away when he is ill, which causes trouble.

APHC was ready in Chhakarbandha Panchayat of Immamganj block, but even after 20 years of its formation, no deputation could be done here. Similarly, the building is lying vacant and dilapidated. Chief representative Shyam Sundar Prasad told that many times the voice was raised but nothing could be done. Villager Shahnaz Parveen says that when the construction work of this hospital started, people were happy that now they too will have a hospital in their village, but this dream remained incomplete.

APHC closed due to lack of doctors

On the other hand, the third case is of Bikopur Panchayat, where APHC is closed for the last several years due to lack of doctors. Village Mohd. Shanuvar told that there is an APHC on thousands of people and it is also closed during this corona period. Many people of the village are corona infected who are in home isolation. Chief Representative Mr. Chotan Khan said that several times a letter has been sent to the department, no action is being taken.

Civil Surgeon Dr. KK Rai told that this matter has come to his notice. The doctor who was deputed there has been transferred to Mahakar PHC. Duty has been imposed in the APHC of Bikopur Panchayat on May 27 itself, but have not been able to go yet, who will join soon.
