When two daughters were not getting married due to poor financial condition, their mother gave her daughter by asking for alms. For the marriage of these two daughters of the village, someone helped with money and someone gave food items. In this way, people have set an example by happily bidding farewell to two daughters.
The case is of Kala Pachrukhiya village under Koilwar area of Bhojpur district where people helped a very poor family. Ramdev Mahto, a resident of Pachrukhiya village, works as a revenue earner. It was very difficult for him to meet the huge expenditure for the marriage of daughters.
There was also damage in crops
Ramdev Mahto has six children out of which five are girls. There is a boy, he also works as a laborer. Ramdev had already got his elder daughter Rinku married. After this, due to the financial condition not being good, he was not able to get the rest of the daughters married. He took two bighas of land on revenue, in which he planted wheat in one bigha and mustard in one and a quarter bighas, but he also suffered damages in the field taken for goods.
Now two more daughters have to get married
Radhika and Rajkumari got married on Tuesday. Even after this, Ramdev still has to get two daughters Jyoti and Anjali married. Ramdev’s wife Sangma Mahto told that both of their daughters were not getting married due to money, so their son had agreed to sell his kidneys for the sisters’ marriage. He told this to a Pandit located in Aranya Devi in Ara, after which this marriage is being done with the help of the devotees there.
At the same time, brother Om Prakash told that he is marrying his two sisters by taking a loan. He said that it was a matter of honor of the house, so he wanted to get this marriage done even after selling his kidney, but his mother stopped it. He said that somehow he is getting the sisters married by taking alms.
