Bihar Crime: Lakhs looted from youth at gunpoint, victim was returning home with money


Bettiah: Criminals have been unlocked amid the lockdown implemented in Bihar. Criminals are carrying out incidents like murder and robbery every day. The latest case is of West Champaran district of Bihar, where on Wednesday evening the criminals took five and a half lakh rupees from the nephew of the bangle mill owner on the strength of arms and escaped with great ease. The incident took place near Khardeur Mahna of Bettiah-Chanpatia main road in the district.

Police engaged in investigation of incident

According to the information received, armed criminals robbed 5 lakh 50 thousand rupees from Chandan Kumar, the nephew of the bangle mill owner of Bettiah and then fled towards Chanpatia waving the gun. After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Raids have been started to arrest the criminals.

Victim was returning home with money

Let us tell you that Chandan Kumar was returning home on a bike with his partner Chittaranjan Sharma with money from Hathua market. He hid the money under his shirt. But on the way, six criminals riding a bike stopped him and robbed the money hidden inside the shirt. During this the criminals also tore his shirt. At present, the police is engaged in the investigation of the whole matter. According to the police, soon the accused will be behind the bars.
