Bhagalpur: Criminals on Tuesday robbed four lakh 25 thousand rupees in broad daylight from a private finance bank operating in a rented house in the old registry office premises located on Hatia Road in Kahalgaon of the district. The miscreants who came in the number of five to six carried out the incident of robbery on the strength of the weapon. During the robbery, the criminals also fired two rounds. Everyone was 20 to 25 years old.
It is said that the miscreants also attacked many employees with the butt of the pistol. Cashier Gulshan Kumar was injured in the incident. He was admitted to the sub-divisional hospital. Apart from this, credit officer Himanshu Kumar and branch manager Jaiprakash Das have also been injured. Regional head Krishnadev Tiwari has also been injured. The miscreants created a ruckus for about 15 minutes. During this, five mobile phones of bank employees were also taken by the miscreants.
Police will scrutinize CCTV footage
On receiving information about the incident, SDPO Reshu Krishna and Kahalgaon SHO Shrikant Bharti reached the spot and investigated the matter. The SDPO confirmed the incident. Said that the CCTV footage is being scrutinized. Information is being sought about the amount looted.
Bank branch manager Jaiprakash Kumar Das told that five to six armed criminals entered the bank and closed the entrance of the bank and carried out the incident of robbery. Around four lakh rupees have been looted. The money was brought by the collecting agent of the bank which was being deposited at the cash counter. In this sequence the criminals entered the bank. The employees also pelted stones at the fleeing criminals, in which it is being said that one of the criminals was injured. The police have also confiscated the mobiles of several employees for investigation.
