Bihar: Aircraft will fly from Gopalganj, got approval to start the airport which has been closed for years


Gopalganj: The hope of starting the flight service from Sabaya airport in Gopalganj district of Bihar has increased. Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Hardeep S Puri has approved the request made by Gopalganj MP cum JDU National Treasurer Dr. Alok Kumar Suman to start the closed airport. Under the ‘Ude Desh Ka Aam Aadmi’ scheme, the flight service will start from Sabaya airport. There was a demand from the MP to develop Zero Hour Airport of Lok Sabha and start domestic flight service.

More than 1.5 lakh people of Gopalganj and Siwan are living abroad. Nearby from here is the unit of Gorakhpur Air Force. Of these, the Gulf countries go to Muscat, Oman, Saudi, Iran, Bahrain, Dubai. After Siwan, the highest inflow of foreign exchange is in Gopalganj.
