World Test Championship Final: The historic final match of the World Test Championship is to be played between India and New Zealand next week. The Board of Control for Cricket in India gave this information by sharing the video of training on social media. BCCI wrote in the caption accompanying the video on Twitter, “We had our first group training and it was very fast. Preparations in full swing for the WTC final.”
In the video, other batsmen including skipper Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Rishabh Pant are seen batting in the nets while Ravichandran Ashwin, Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj are seen bowling to them. . In this video of more than a minute long, players are also seen practicing catches in slips.
Finals will start from June 18
The Indian team reached Southampton on June 3. The team has to play the final match of WTC against New Zealand from June 18. New Zealand is currently playing the first match of the two-match Test series against England at Lord’s. The Kiwi team will reach Southampton on 14 June after the Test series.
The ICC recently informed that players can practice in groups during the quarantine period, but some limits will be applicable to them. In the coming one or two days, Team India can get more relaxation for practice.
Team India captain Virat Kohli, however, had already made it clear that less practice will not have any effect on his team performance. Virat believes that in the last five years, Team India has become very strong in Test cricket.
