Monsoon is fully active in Delhi and adjoining areas for the last three days. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Delhi NCR for the next two days. Delhi-NCR will remain cloudy for the next two days. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of light or thunderstorms. After Tuesday’s rain, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.2 degrees Celsius, a few notches below normal. The Meteorological Department says that there will be no heavy rain in Delhi but light drizzle will continue.
According to the information, the normal rainfall of Delhi in July is 210.6 mm, whereas till 8.30 pm on Tuesday night it was 315.5 mm. 60.3 mm of rain was also recorded from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm on Tuesday. The rainy season will continue on Wednesday as well and will bring relief to Delhi from the heat. According to IMD, there is a possibility of light intensity rain or drizzle at isolated places and adjoining areas in North Delhi, North-East Delhi, North-West Delhi, Sonepat (Haryana).
May have to face sultry heat
The Meteorological Department has forecast that the rains may continue on Wednesday as well. The sultry heat can be felt during the day due to sunlight. However, this will not cause much change in temperature. Maximum 34 and minimum temperature can remain up to 25 degree Celsius. At the same time, on Tuesday, the maximum temperature was 31.9 degrees below normal and the minimum temperature was 24 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal. The humidity level in the air was 79 to 98 percent.
