Foreign Minister Meets Chinese Counterpart: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and his Chinese counterpart Foreign Minister Wang Yi met on Wednesday and discussed the pending issues along the Line of Actual Control. This meeting between the foreign ministers of both the countries lasted for about an hour. After this, an agreement was also reached between the two sides at the Senior Military Commanders level meeting. This discussion between Jaishankar and Wang Yi took place during the meeting of foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Referring to the Line of Actual Control, S. Jaishankar said- On the sidelines of the SCO Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Dushanbe, there was a discussion with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi for about an hour. The main focus of discussion was related to the pending issues in the western sector.

On talks with the Chinese Foreign Minister regarding the Ladakh border, S Jaishankar said that it was underlined that unilateral change in status quo is not acceptable. On talks with Chinese Foreign Minister in Dushanbe, S.K. Jaishankar further said that the pending issues related to LAC in the western region were discussed.
