A new era of best train travel experience with better comfort has been ushered in by Western Railway with the introduction of newly upgraded Tejas Sleeper Coach Rake. Bright Gold colored coaches with upgraded smart features have been introduced to run the prestigious Mumbai Rajdhani Express train of Western Railway, which will provide an immersive travel experience. This new attractive rake was made operational for the first time on Monday, 19th July, 2021.

According to Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, one of the most prestigious and premium trains of Western Railway, the existing rake of 02951/52 Mumbai-New Delhi Rajdhani Special Express has been replaced with new Tejas type sleeper coach. Two such Tejas type sleeper coach rakes have been prepared to run as Rajdhani Express. Out of these two rakes, one rake comprises the special Tejas Smart Sleeper Coach, which is the first of its kind to be introduced on Indian Railways.

The new train will have special smart features to enhance passenger safety and comfort. Smart Coach aims to provide world class amenities to passengers with the help of intelligent sensor-based system.
