Monsoon has knocked in the entire country including the capital Delhi and yesterday the Meteorological Department has given information about it. Giving information, the IMD said that after a delay of five days, the monsoon has reached the entire country on Tuesday. The department said that the normal date for the arrival of monsoon in the entire country is July 15, but the monsoon has already knocked. This time Monsoon has finally arrived in Delhi.
Monsoon reached many parts of Rajasthan on Monday. At the same time, it rained in many parts of Delhi NCR. After this, the Meteorological Department announced the arrival of monsoon in Delhi. The IMD said, ‘‘For the last four days, due to the easterly wind blowing from the Bay of Bengal, the cloud cover increased and it rained at many places. Southwest Monsoon has advanced. Now it has knocked in the rest of the country including Delhi, rest of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan.’’ The Meteorological Department had said in the forecast for June 13 that the monsoon would reach Delhi and adjoining areas by June 15. On July 5, the department said that the monsoon would arrive in Delhi by July 10, but this time also its estimate proved to be wrong.
