Police have registered a case against her after a video of a woman brutally beating her 7-month-old child on social media went viral. Inspector Narendra Hivade of Ambajhari police station said that the incident took place on 24 May in Pandharbodi area of Nagpur district in Maharashtra.
The police registered a case against the woman on Monday under related sections. This video was made by a relative of the accused woman, in which she is seen beating her child during an argument with her mother-in-law.
After the video went viral on social media, the local people informed the Ambazari police about the incident. The child’s father works as a drummer, but he is still unemployed due to restrictions related to Kovid-19.
Hivde told that the child’s grandmother works as a domestic help and earns two thousand rupees a month. The officer said that a neighbor told the police that there was often a fight between the child’s mother and grandmother about the money.
